My name is Heath Ferguson and I am the founder of Ferguson Counseling, LLC. My goal is to help those in need of counseling or guidance figure out their path. I have a passion for working in a collaborative way to find solutions.
I grew up in a small town in rural Louisiana before attending Louisiana Tech University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University in 2008. In May 2010, I completed my Masters of Arts in Counseling & Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. My education has been a foundation for my understanding and success with clients. I have 12 years of experience in various counseling settings. I began my clinical experience in 2009 at the Louisiana Tech University Counseling Center as a Counselor Intern. There, I worked with college students, dealing with a range of issues including career counseling, suicidal thoughts/ideations, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, PTSD, and grief.
In June 2010, I relocated to Houston, Texas. I continued my professional experience with MHMRA of Harris County, as a Rehab Clinician. I worked to teach skills such as anger management and social skills.
In late 2013, I moved to a new position at Chambers Counseling & Consulting, first working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. After becoming fully licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors in June 2014, I continued to my career at CCC. While there, I worked with individuals who were dealing with a wide range of issues. I especially enjoyed collaborating with those individuals with relationship issues.
As of June 2015, I have started a new chapter in my professional career in Spring, TX. There I began my own private practice, Ferguson Counseling, LLC, counseling adult individuals. Also, I am now a fully remote, video counseling practice.
